Hiking and Mountainbiking

Well maintained, passable paths and roads lead you around the Gosaukamm. In addition there are the steep tracks for those who want to go to the top. Here the spectacular view will disclose further challenges: Angerstein, Donnerkogel, Mandlkogel or Stichkogel.

Every tour will eventually reach the peak of Gosaukamm, at the foot of the 2458 meter high Bischofsmütze. All routes offer a view of Dachstein, Gosau lake and the Tennen Mountain Range.
The cosy alpine huts along the way are a great addition to an already exciting walking experience!

The people from Lammertal asked themselves how the mountains and green meadows of the Tennen Mountain Range inspire and influence regional and international artists in their work:
The results are exhibited in the natural theatre of the Salzburg Dolomites between Stuhlalm and Theodor-Körner Hütte at the bottom of the Bischofsmütze.

Artists' installations and sculptures stay in its place all summer and change as a result of wind, rain and sun. The visible changes should prompt us to observe the influence of nature during the seasons and allow us to sharpen our view of nature and the elements. This "vernissage" is an easy one-and-a-half hour walk on alpine pastures, during which it may come to intensive encounters between the visitors and the works of art.

20 routes of different degrees of difficulty offer 720 km of athletic challenges for pleasure cyclists as well as mountain bikers. Murmuring rivers and stunning panoramas are consistent companions during the Salzburger Almentour, the latest product of the Lammertaler Bike-world. The 3-day tour goes up to 1330 and 1740 meter from Lammertal to Salzkammergut.

Mountain bike tour from Lammertal to Salzkammergut. In three days this newly signposted route takes you over countless alpine pastures. Stunning views over the lakes of Salzkammergut and the sound of babbling streams accompany you during the tour over grassy mountains. In 3 days you cover 147 km in total and an elevation gain of 4170 m. The rewards are included in the tour: a break at an original alpine hut, a jump in the lake, a view of the surrounding mountains. All this is carefree and unweighted as the transport of your luggage is organised.

Stages:

1.) 52 km / 1.330 m elevation gain: Annaberg - Hintersee via Seewaldsee & Bergalm
2.) 36 km / 1.100 m elevation gain: Hintersee - Strobl via Sausteigalm & Zwölferhorn
3.) 59 km / 1.740 m elevation gain: Strobl - Annaberg via Postalm and Edalm
